There's a Disney Performing Arts Workshop for virtually any type of performing group. From pom squads to choirs, and bands to dance teams, performance-based groups can hone their skills as they take part in magnificent behind-the-scenes workshops. All workshops are facilitated by Disney professionals and expose groups to real-world, professional rehearsing and performing environments. Workshops are available WITHOUT a performance experience including Disney Magic Music Days (Ticket Package plus Workshop Fees are additional).

Workshop - Disney Auxiliration Who Should Attend? - Auxiliary units, pom squads, and color guards Students age 11 and up Participants Covered - 22* Brief Description - Provides the unique opportunity to rehearse and perform an original Disney-style production. Raise the quality of the group's spinning abilities by focusing on proper technique, warm-ups, stage presence, and the complete understanding of their equipment. Workshop - Disney Dancin' Who Should Attend? - Dance studios, dance teams, drill teams, and color guards Students age 11 and up Participants Covered - 22* Brief Description - Emphasizes the importance of discipline, show presentation, and movement. Participants put this insight into action as they learn an actual Disney production number for a backstage performance. Workshop - Disney Dancin' - Young Performer Edition Who Should Attend? - Dance studios, dance teams, drill teams, and color guards Students age 6 - 10 Participants Covered - 22* Brief Description - Allows students to experience the life of a professional Disney dancer. Led by a professional Disney dancer, students examine memorable Disney dancing on film, then participate in a simulated "rehearsal" and "performance" of a Disney show. Workshop takes place in a special Disney rehearsal facility. Workshop - Disney's Featured Performer Series (by audition only) Who Should Attend? - High School concert and marching bands, jazz ensembles and orchestras Participants Covered - 34* Brief Description - Gives performers the unique opportunity to rehearse with, and to accompany, a professional Walt Disney World® musician in a live concert. The critique of the rehearsal and performance gives participants unique insight into ways to be better performers. Workshop - Disney's Performance Fundamentals Who Should Attend? - Bands and Orchestras Students age 11 and up Participants Covered - 32* Brief Description - Designed to raise the level of the group's performance skills by exposing them to different teaching styles, interpretations, and performance techniques while heightening their awareness of the importance of solid technical and musical fundamentals.
Workshop - Disney's Show Choir Magic Who Should Attend? - Choirs Students age 11 and up Participants Covered - 26* Brief Description - Shares elements of live performance with show choirs by focusing on the fundamentals of vocal technique and the basics of staged movement.
Workshop - Disney's Sings Who Should Attend? - Choirs Students age 11 and up Participants Covered - 40* Brief Description - Focuses on singing styles, interpretation, and vocal dynamics. A Disney vocalist and recording artist also demonstrates how movement can impact song and showcases ways vocal warm-ups enhance performance.
Workshop - Disney Sings - Young Performer Edition Who Should Attend? - Choirs Students age 6 - 10 Participants Covered - 40* Brief Description - Introduces students to elements of professional vocal performance. Students will record an excerpt from a Disney animated feature film's sound track, led by a professional Disney vocalist. Students will also experience the demands and exhilaration of live performance as they prepare the actual music and choreography from a Disney entertainment production number. This is a fun, fast-paced reading, recording and performance experience in a special Disney rehearsal facility.
Workshop - Jazz it Up Who Should Attend? - Junior/Middle and High School jazz ensembles Students age 11 and up Participants Covered - 18* Brief Description - Involves jazz bands in a hands-on showcase of the essential components of jazz with style - Disney style, that is! Participating groups examine phrasing, improvisation, ensemble sound, jazz styles, and the rhythm section.
Workshop - You're Instrumental Who Should Attend? - Middle/Junior High and High School bands and orchestras Participants Covered - 40* Brief Description - Takes concert bands into a recording studio and gives them the unique chance to record their own sound track to a portion of a Disney animated feature.
