Festival Disney

What is Festival Disney?  Festival Disney is a series of competitive performance events that take place in the Spring.

Who can participate?  The festival is open to all Middle, Junior and Senior High School concert and marching (parade) bands, string orchestras, chamber orchestras, full orchestras, jazz and choral ensembles, show choirs and auxiliary units. No audition is required.

Where are the performances held?   You will perform at one of our "world class" performance venues such as the Premiere Theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ or Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort just to name a few.

Is this a competition?  Yes, although participating groups may choose to participate in a non-competitive status.

What is the award structure? All participating ensembles receive a one-of-a-kind Festival Disney award and every member of the ensemble receives a Festival Disney medal. Within each Division and Classification, a "Best in Class" ensemble is selected (i.e. the top High School Concert Band in Class A or a middle school Mixed Choir). Special Awards are provided to individuals in certain categories at the adjudicator's discretion. The three highest rated ensembles within each category, regardless of classification, are recognized with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards. Awards are presented based on criteria outlined in the Festival Disney application information.

Are there educational opportunities?  A top panel of adjudicators provides written and verbal feedback in all categories and conducts personalized feedback for each concert group.
